ARSENIC POLLUTION IN BANGLADESH

Bangladesh is a developing country. In a developing country like ours there are problems almost in all sides of people’s life. Pollution is one of the major problems of Bangladesh. Particularly arsenic pollution is a recent one which has been added to air and water pollution.
Arsenic is a kind of poison. It is a fatal and mortal poison. This poison mixes with water specially with tub well water and pollutes it.
The people of the past had experience of this poisonous pollution. The kings of those days experienced arsenic pollution. They took it for palace conspiracy.
Arsenic poisoning happened in many countries, namely, Taiwan, chili, Canada and the USA. But Bangladesh has first been discovered in1894. Out of suspicion new about 2500 bowels of 34districts were scanned and almost every tube well was polluted by arsenic poisoning.
Arsenic is found available in the environment. It remains in the soil and in coal in the form of ore. It is also found in vegetable, fishes, meats etc. it is available in everything but in the animals of the sea it is found in plenty.
Because of some chemical reaction and metal arsenic gets liquid and it makes the level of the soil poisoning. The most important cause of arsenic pollution is the use of deep tube-well waters incessantly.
The effect of arsenic pollution is very serious in nature. Arsenic can very firstly attack different cells of human body. Due to water with arsenic pollution skin gets peeled off itching becomes our constant companion. Face becomes flattered.
We can prevent it by adopting the following steps: 1. Firstly people should be made alert about arsenic pollution. 2. Secondly the tube-well affects by arsenic pollution must be banned from use and removed from those places. 3. Lastly heating water and cleaning water are necessary to avoid arsenic pollution.
Arsenic pollution has assumed a serious in Bangladesh. We are afraid of it very much. We should try to take up steps so that we can get rid of it soon.
