SWANIRVAR BANGLADESH

The habit of doing one’s work without the help of others is called Swanirvar. It means self reliance. Allah has given us strength in our body and mind. He has given us intelligence too. So we should do our duties depending on our own strength and ability. We should no depend on others for our assistance or livelihood.

 Self-reliance is a great virtue. Is key to success. It makes a nation strong and stable. It maintains the prestige of the nation too.

Dependence is the hindrance on the way to progress. It makes a nation weak. It is shameful to all if the people of a country always extend their hands for foreign aid.

Agriculture is the foundation of the economic condition of Bangladesh. But her production is very low is comparison with demand. So we have to import a large quantity from foreign countries. We shall fall in dangerous position if they fail to help us in our critical position. To solve this problem the government of Bangladesh has started a movement in the country to make us all self sufficient in all matters without seeking help from outside.

Bangladesh is an over populated country. She suffers much for food stuff and other necessaries of life. But she has fertile land which may give crops. But the cultivation is not us to the mark. So the output is very low. We have a lot of fallow lands that should be brought to cultivation without delay. We should employee the modern method of cultivation and produce maximum amount of crops. The Swanirvar Movement therefore has given priority to solve the nation’s food problem. Increase of population is another hindrance on the way to progress. This should be controlled in planned way. Industry should be encouraged.

 To make this movement a success, an extensive program has been chalked up for the whole of Bangladesh. It s known as, ‘swanirvar karmas chi’. It is a plan of work to make all the people of Bangladesh self sufficient is all matters without seeking any help from outside. It has an organization with different branches from the higher national level to the lower village unit too. People of all walks of life can take part in it.

Different departments of Government are sending experts to cooperate with the villagers in all respects. Modern methods of cultivation are being introduced. Cottage industry suitable for locality is being established. Control of rapid growth of population is being tried through family planning.

The Swanirvar movement of Bangladesh is a momentous movement of great national significance. If all the people of Bangladesh cooperate in this movement is will surely come out successful. All the people should remember that this movement is people’s movement of their own. It is created for their own interest. It should be encouraged in all affairs to make it success.
